Assistant Buyer (Austin, TX)

Our Client: A prominent multinational technology company well known for their ecommerce in all types of categories

Duration: 9 months (potential to extend or convert)

Pay: $25.21/hr on a W2 (set rate)

Hybrid in Austin, TX (mainly remote, but will be onsite for collaboration on occasion)

Our Client is looking for an Assistant Buyer who is a passionate customer and category advocate with proven ability to organize a significant amount of data and product information for customer-facing merchandising events. You will assist in sourcing unhealthy inventory from key suppliers and evaluate this inventory to run exciting deals on our Client's Flash Deal Site.

In addition, this role will support the merchandising of exciting shenanigans on their Flash Deal Site to drive traffic and customer engagement. You will expected to collaborate closely with our Client's product and development teams to provide input on how to scale the merchandising process for deals. In addition, you will work closely with the marketing team to coordinate the merchandising.

You have the ability to impact the content for deals and listings on our Client's Flash Deals ecommerce site, ensuring that they provide the best customer experience. This role will involve being very hands-on and having extreme attention to detail to deliver a seamless buying experience for the customer.

Day in the Life:

• Support the merchandising of exciting shenanigans on their Flash Deal Site to drive traffic and customer engagement
• Collaborate with Marketing Team to coordinate Merchandising
• Collaborate closely with our Client's product and development teams to provide input on how to scale the merchandising process for deals.
• Drive actionable insights from large data sets and be comfortable taking swift action on a daily basis
• Demonstrate intense bias for action. In the deals business
• Excel at collaborating with different stakeholders to understand their requirements and execute accordingly

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience using Excel and other business analytic tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with software and editing tools (including HTML, Excel and SQL)
• Experience in online retail
• Experience using analytical specific tools such as Google Analytics, SQL or HTML
